In collaboration with the Institute for Countering Digital Extremism (ICDE) and the Accelerationism Research Consortium (ARC), Darksight Analytics has investigated and monitored hundreds of social-media groups and chats associated with the extremist networks 764 and No Lives Matter (NLM), among others. These communities pose a significant threat to young people as they engage in sadistic extortion of minors, coercing victims into committing extreme and harmful acts including self-harm, animal abuse, and suicide. Individuals associated with these communities have also carried out mass attacks on schools in the United States, and unprovoked stabbings of random individuals in Sweden, several of which were live-streamed to targeted online audiences.
The 764 network - along with other decentralized groups - has been classified as a new form of extremism known as "Nihilistic Violent Extremists" (NVE). Until now, the impact of these communities in Denmark has been poorly understood. In this report, Darksight Analytics - together with the ICDE and ARC - presents key findings on their impact in a Danish context.
Darksight Analytics has identified the following:
One of the most significant threat actors on the communities is a Danish national. Research has found that the individual has coerced and extorted multiple victims into self-harm. It is further alleged that he coerced a young individual into committing suicide during a live call on Discord. In the days preceding 01.09.2025, the same individual reportedly hosted a live-stream in which he chased random individuals with a knife, coerced two young women into self-harm, and vandalized a car.
Darksight Analytics has also identified another Danish user participating in a group chat linked to 764. The user stated that he had encountered issues with Danish social authorities due to possession of knives. He further claimed that his friend had brought knives to school.
Darksight Analytics has identified one extortion victim as Danish. The victim allegedly took part in a live-stream during which she was coerced into committing self-harm.
Accordingly, in collaboration with ICDE and ARC, Darksight Analytics assesses that threats emerging from NVE online environments targeting Danish youth and public institutions are not hypothetical but constitute a concrete and tangible risk.
