History of Darksight Analytics
Darksight Analytics was founded by Valdemar Balle in 2024.
Valdemar Balle is a Danish Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) specialist with a background in Sociology and Data Science. He is actively engaged in the international OSINT community as the co-founder of OSINord, the first Nordic OSINT network. Valdemar is also a keynote speaker, dedicated to sharing OSINT techniques and methodologies with thousands of OSINT professionals and enthusiasts on LinkedIn. Additionally, Valdemar Balle hosts courses and has trained dozens of professionals across both the private and public sectors in Open-Source Intelligence techniques.

Darksight Analytics was established to support public sector stakeholders in identifying online risks targeting young people and to assist private sector clients in uncovering risks to business operations and strategic ambitions. Since then, the company has supported Fortune 500 and C25 businesses with due diligence and background checks, and has also contributed expertise to several documentaries.

U.S Secret Service Most Wanted - OSINord Case
Through his initiative OSINord, Valdemar Balle has conducted significant investigations into both the FBI’s and the U.S. Secret Service’s Most Wanted cyber criminals. Together with his OSINord co-founder, Ron Kaminsky, Valdemar identified previously unseen images and information related to Secret Service Most Wanted cyber criminal Timur Shakhmametov, who carried a $10 million bounty.

Illicit Disitribution of OxyContin's
Together with Danish media, Valdemar Balle investigated the illegal distribution of pharmaceuticals on the dark web. He identified several major distributors of OxyContin, which raised questions regarding the pharmaceutical company’s potential responsibility for the circulation of these products.
